Challenges - A new section to the site.

As we want to build new ideas here it is only logical that we should have some idea on what to create ideas for.

Post a new challenge here when you know of some problems that exists in the world and solving of which would benefit from a little discussion here. Basically when you have more questions than good answers the topic falls into the category of a challenge. The line between an idea and a challenge is not that clear, Or not yet anyway. "Let's save the world" is kind of a good idea but maybe I would call it a good challenge until we have some more concrete ideas on how to do that.

How good is good enough?

How do you define "a good idea"?

How do you actually rate ideas to be good or bad?

If the implementation of an idea fails can the idea still be rated as good?

To me it seems that excellent ideas usually are rated excellent only afterwards, when they are already successfully implemented. The same ideas were just good or average before the implementation.

What is the primary function of an idea? Let's say it is to inspire and to show a direction. This definition would at least explain some of the above, wouldn't it?
